All funds raised stay right here in our community. Thanks to your support, we’re able to make a meaningful impact throughout Howell.
Every dollar from Howell Melon Ice Cream sales supports the Howell Rotary Club, Howell Rotary Youth programs, the Howell Rotary Foundation, and a wide range of community service projects. These initiatives include support for literacy programs, local food pantries, Boy Scout Troop 362, Cub Scout Pack 365, Howell Rotary scholarships to students at Howell High School, kids’ camps, youth leadership training, the Howell High School Interact Club, the Rotary Exchange Student Program, essential human services, and many other local efforts.
We are officially sold out for this year. Thank you to Jonna’s Market for helping us with the retail sales of the family size again this year!

For 2027 we will again be selling individual servings during the festival, and Family size for pre-order. In 2027 we will continue to offer custom packaged cups to businesses that want to share the love of Howell Melon Ice Cream with their clients. Howell Rotary is proud to present Howell Melon Ice Cream by pre-order of half gallons this year. This ice cream has a long history as part of Howell Melon Festival.
The ice cream is special because it is made from a long standing special recipe and is only made once each year. It is prepared fresh by Guernsey Dairy in Northville Michigan. George Spagnuolo was the inventor of the Howell Melon Ice Cream and we at Howell Rotary Club are pleased to carry on the tradition that he started many years ago.
